Day 110 - 121

Okay...so we got no House news...I've got nothing to report...I was hoping to fire up the good stuff again...once we got to taking care of starting that part of the move up...but...

Still...nothing...

In my opinion...we have till August 7th...for something GRAND to happen...Cause the boys start Elementary school on the 8th...

Keep your collective fingers crossed for us...

I saw this while driving around today...

Day 109

This was the first day we had Nala...

not sure of her weight in this picture....but...it was probably in the 20-30 pound range....

she's bigger now....

Days 106, 107 & 108

Not much going on this week round these parts...just waiting to hear something about the house...

Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor...

I fixed my hair the other morning...and there were 3 hairs that wouldn't comply with their hairspray instructions...

I had to pull em...

Day 105

So we put an offer in on the house we both really like yesterday...

Because of the 'bank' situation that the house is in....pre-foreclosure...or something...we had to give them until 10:30 am on friday...They asked for 30 days...we gave them 5...

Hopefully...we'll hear SOMETHING...ANYTHING...by Friday...

Keep your fingers crossed for us...It'll be the house you're visiting....there is a pool too...

A funny little side note...

A while back I got an email from google...asking me if I'd like to put adertisements on my blog...and when enough people have clicked on them...I get a check for like 43 cents in the mail....

Needless to say....I haven't gotten a check yet...(Thanks for all your clicking)...

But...apparently it bases your ad blurbs on language in your blog....and I think today's ads are especially nice...

Day 101

Okay...it's no fancy schmancy black and white photo of a really cute baby or anything...but it is a pretty cool balloon shot from July 4th in downtown Baton Rouge...

Oh...

and Janet and I decided to not buy a house right now...Instead...we're gonna buy one of those really fancy tanning bed thingies...

I really like how my tubby six pack looks all sun burnt...It's like 6 of those little keg cans...cept they're bright red...

Day 100

It's like MC Escher...I could refer to my other blog post in this blog...and then refer to this blog post in the other blog...It's an endless cycle...just keep clicking...where will you end up???

Today was a slow day at the office...Was told that my new Parish vehicle will be in town soon....7-10 days...and I can get rid of the truck with a slight hint of Cat urine....for a BRAND SPANKIN new vehicle...absolutely free of any foul odors...

Speaking of stink...I can't get over how many people smoke here...Smoking at July 4th...Smoking in their inner tubes...Smoking at the Splash Park...

oh...one last thing...we ate at this seafood restaurant this weekend...it's very nice...It's attached to a gas station...bygones...We purchased boiled shrimp for 7.99 a pound...and the Shrimp were Ginormous....Truly...a spectacle to behold...

Day 99

I was asked to appear on a 5 minute news blurb about Planning and Development...on what amounts to a 'cable access' news show...

Janet couldn't even watch it because it's on a different cable company....

If I find it...online...I'll let you know...but...I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...

Day 98

Recovery Day...

I might as well be wearing an aluminum foil suit today...I'm baked like a freakin' potato...

I haven't been this sun burnt since that summer trip to Houston Astroworld...What a miserable car ride home...

This was me...trying to teach Daniel how to use the river as a potty...

He didn't get it...

Day 97

Another exciting day out with the Hestons....This time we went Tubing down the Amite River...

The adults basically took this opportunity to burn like tall pieces of toast...while...the kids generally preferred swimming/walking to floating in the tubes...

Overall it was a fun day on the water...

Then for dinner we ordered pizza for the kids...and the 4 of us all over-ate at this nice seafood restaurant nearby...

Then we introduced our guests to the marvel that is the drive-thru daiquiri shop....See day 16...

Day 96

We had a GREAT July 4th with some of our extended Orlando Family...The Hestons came up to visit us for the weekend...

We showed them the house we really like in the morning...Had some AWESOME boiled Shrimp for lunch....brought the kids to a splash park while the girls went to the outlet mall...

and Headed to downtown Baton Rouge for the 4th of July Celebration....got to see the Chris LeBlanc band featuring an old friend from highschool on guitar...

Not sure if you can feel the excitement...but Daniel has never ridden a horse...let alone been this close to one...

When he gave Daniel a big sniff....it was quite a surprise....

Days 94 and 95

HAPPY JULY 2ND AND 3RD...

Day 93

Talk about small fish in a big pond...

Had a meeting with the Department of Transportation today...

Secretary of Transportation...State Senator...and 2 House Representatives were present...

Along with about 15 other folks...

Needless to say....I just kept my mouth shut and let the big dogs meet...

Day 92

We went and checked this house out yesterday...
It was 2,700 sf and unfinished...
It needs some TLC to get it ready to live in...

See how nice that porch is...
Each of those double doors go into the house...some in wierd locations...
The far right is the master bedroom...next is the Master bath...next is the Master closet??? Then the last 2 enter the living room kitchen area...

Sitting out on your front porch....you can see if your neighbor decides to put the wheels back on their house...
