Day 100

It's like MC Escher...I could refer to my other blog post in this blog...and then refer to this blog post in the other blog...It's an endless cycle...just keep clicking...where will you end up???

Today was a slow day at the office...Was told that my new Parish vehicle will be in town soon....7-10 days...and I can get rid of the truck with a slight hint of Cat urine....for a BRAND SPANKIN new vehicle...absolutely free of any foul odors...

Speaking of stink...I can't get over how many people smoke here...Smoking at July 4th...Smoking in their inner tubes...Smoking at the Splash Park...

oh...one last thing...we ate at this seafood restaurant this weekend...it's very nice...It's attached to a gas station...bygones...We purchased boiled shrimp for 7.99 a pound...and the Shrimp were Ginormous....Truly...a spectacle to behold...

Day 99

I was asked to appear on a 5 minute news blurb about Planning and Development...on what amounts to a 'cable access' news show...

Janet couldn't even watch it because it's on a different cable company....

If I find it...online...I'll let you know...but...I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...

Day 93

Talk about small fish in a big pond...

Had a meeting with the Department of Transportation today...

Secretary of Transportation...State Senator...and 2 House Representatives were present...

Along with about 15 other folks...

Needless to say....I just kept my mouth shut and let the big dogs meet...

Day 10

What are YOU going to do to help?  What can YOU possibly do to beautify that place?

I don't know....

Casual Friday sucks when you're the boss...

Day 5

Unofficially reviewed a set of plans for a proposed TND project...It's the first of it's kind in this area...so...It's not what I would call GREAT....Yet...Lots of potential....

So....I've introduced the first toy into the office....Can you find it in this picture?

I'll unbox it in the next couple of days...

Not sure if a GIANT Sweetums Muppet figure is gonna fit in...just yet...

The white box is nice though....

Day 3

So...The new job begins...

I get the tour...I meet about 100 new people...I organize the new office...and begin to get the 'lay of the land'...

I was called SIR for the first time in my life by someone that is older than me....Which was REALLY Weird...

My first print didn't go too well...I was trying to print the calendar of upcoming events...and I guess....I sent it to the wrong printer...and apparently printed it on Permit Paper...who knew...

I had the 'orange suits' come into my office and help me move some furniture around....

Generally speaking...the first day went pretty good...and I guess I'll go back....

I miss my family.
