Days 151, 152

If only there was something exciting to talk about...
Justin Isham came down to visit us Wednesday thru Saturday... and... well...he brought some 'weather' with him...
He took a trip down to New Orleans Harrah's casino on Thursday....we hung out here on Friday and played some golf...then we braved the New Orleans hurricane evacuators...and went back to Harrah's Saturday...then to the airport...
When the casino closed early we went to eat al a local diner...and then spent 2 hours in traffic driving 16 miles to the airport...
We went to a place called 'Mothers'...Their famous Poboy is called the Ferdi Special...it has ham, roastbeef and an additional topping called Debris...not sure what it is...but...you get alot of gravy au jous type of stuff that make your bread all soggy and mighty tasty...

Day 100

It's like MC Escher...I could refer to my other blog post in this blog...and then refer to this blog post in the other blog...It's an endless cycle...just keep clicking...where will you end up???

Today was a slow day at the office...Was told that my new Parish vehicle will be in town soon....7-10 days...and I can get rid of the truck with a slight hint of Cat urine....for a BRAND SPANKIN new vehicle...absolutely free of any foul odors...

Speaking of stink...I can't get over how many people smoke here...Smoking at July 4th...Smoking in their inner tubes...Smoking at the Splash Park...

oh...one last thing...we ate at this seafood restaurant this weekend...it's very nice...It's attached to a gas station...bygones...We purchased boiled shrimp for 7.99 a pound...and the Shrimp were Ginormous....Truly...a spectacle to behold...

Day 97

Another exciting day out with the Hestons....This time we went Tubing down the Amite River...

The adults basically took this opportunity to burn like tall pieces of toast...while...the kids generally preferred swimming/walking to floating in the tubes...

Overall it was a fun day on the water...

Then for dinner we ordered pizza for the kids...and the 4 of us all over-ate at this nice seafood restaurant nearby...

Then we introduced our guests to the marvel that is the drive-thru daiquiri shop....See day 16...

Day 96

We had a GREAT July 4th with some of our extended Orlando Family...The Hestons came up to visit us for the weekend...

We showed them the house we really like in the morning...Had some AWESOME boiled Shrimp for lunch....brought the kids to a splash park while the girls went to the outlet mall...

and Headed to downtown Baton Rouge for the 4th of July Celebration....got to see the Chris LeBlanc band featuring an old friend from highschool on guitar...

Not sure if you can feel the excitement...but Daniel has never ridden a horse...let alone been this close to one...

When he gave Daniel a big sniff....it was quite a surprise....

Day 7

Okay...so...I've been in Louisiana for a grand total of 6 days...

Meals so far:

Jazz Daddy Special, 2 Shrimp PoBoys, A very drippy and very delicious Prime Rib Sandwich, and about 11 pounds of boiled crawfish...

Seriously....I should hit 200 pounds by the end of '08...
