Driving across the Mississippi River today....This is a shot out of the passenger side window...facing south...
Currently...according to this website:
The River is now 5.5 feet above flood level...
Click the photo to zoom....where the grass stops is the top of the levee...and it looks to be about 6 feet to water level....That's usually about a 20 foot distance....
Pretty scary stuff...
